‘Lux’

BPIS MBIS MBISS GCH CH Harambee’s Luxmoore of Wick

Born July 18, 2012

At her very first Canadian show in 2013, Lux was awarded a Group 4th and a Best Puppy in Show.  In the two weekends she was shown before her first birthday, she received multiple group placements, 5 Best Puppy in Groups along with the Best Puppy in Show award.

In the US, Lux was also awarded a 5-point major at 9 months of age under noted Sighthound Judge Shelley Hennessy, a Best in Sweepstakes under Borzoi breeder Caroline Thibodeau, and, at the 2013 SDCA National Specialty she won Futurity Best of Opposite Baby Puppy.

Lux was shown on a very limited basis in 2014 and she was awarded 5 Hound groups and 2 Best in Shows.

Lux came out on the show circuit in June of 2016 and she was awarded 3 more Best in Shows. She also won the UK Limited Breeds Best in Show (over 26 other breeds competing) under Judge Lee Anne Bateman.

Lux also won High Single Stake in AFSA at the 2016 SDCA National Specialty.

She is only the 3rd Scottish Deerhound in Canada since 2009 to be awarded a Grand Championship.

In 2016 Lux was Canada’s #1 Scottish Deerhound and #7 Hound.

Well respected Judge Mrs. Lorraine Boutwell awarded Lux a Best in Show in August 2016. Having judged over 200 Best in Shows Worldwide, prior to this show, she had NEVER awarded a Scottish Deerhound a Best in Show. She said Lux was the nicest Deerhound Bitch she has ever seen.

After awarding Lux a Hound Group First, Judge Mr. Paul Stanton (Sweden) noted: “this is the nicest moving” Deerhound bitch he’d seen in years.

As of May 13, 2017, Lux is Canada’s #1 Scottish Deerhound, and #9 Hound.

Dr Richard Meen MD and I are very proud to be able present this feminine, graceful, bitch who possesses classic breed type and elegance, and who is graceful and light on her feet with beautiful correct lift, all covered in a correct wiry coat.

Luxmoore is presented in the ring by professional handler Norm Fargo.
